Eat & Sip

July 29, 2010

This summer, plan a getaway from your stale supper routine (really, Taco C again?) and escape the city to eat at two spots where you can actually see the stars. After all, everything tastes better in the fresh Hill Country air.

At Fralo’s Art of Pizza, you can create your own masterpiece or order a classic. It’s BYOB – savor your slice under the oak trees in Leon Springs, where white twinkly lights dance all year long and friendly owners Frank and Lori (get it? Fralo) greet everyone like guests in their home.

Now’s the best time to experience Scenic Loop CafĂ© in Boerne, where the only thing better than the summertime shrimp and lobster enchiladas is the live Texas music on the patio (be sure to make a reservation). It feels cooler at this lookout point, and it’s not just the famous margaritas.
