The last thing you did to beautify the city was finally going to get your car washed.

The Yarn Dawgz, on the other hand, are making San Antonio a cozier place, starting with The Pearl. The underground team of guerrilla knitters have been “yarn bombing” tree trunks, bikes, stop signs and business door handles all over town, and are responsible for recently covering the large pipe outside the CIA Bakery Café with a vibrant pattern (pictured), as a nod to Contemporary Art Month. Consider it al fresco art.

Leave the stitching to the professionals and get back to finally throwing away your front porch poinsettias. You’re not sew crafty, after all.
