If you thought the only place to find 5 courses for 20 bucks was Taco Bell, think again. We’ve discovered a new gem where, for that price, you’ll be treated to an upscale prix fixe menu using fresh ingredients from the Pearl farmers market.

Here’s the catch: you’ll have to sit outside. At G&G Mobile Bistro, al fresco’s never been so fancy. The restaurant-on-wheels sets up nightly near Mission Concepción, offering inventive dishes like $8 pork tenderloin flatbread sandwiches, and 3- and 5-course meals that might start with a cheese-and-pâté plate and end with salty almond ice cream. Gus Gonzalez and Gabe Garman (who are bandmates on the side) cheerfully describe every dish tableside, where you can wash it all down with refreshing housemade agua fresca.

Without making a run for the border.
