What is it that makes miniatures so cute? Baby-sized Uggs, tiny bottles of champagne, and mini Christmas trees decked out for the holidays make you positively giddy.

You’ll love the size of the treats at Kate’s Frosting and The Cupcake Cabin – just right and not too big for ladylike consumption – where pastry princess Kate-Frost Feild just unveiled the tie-dyed Alamo Heights Cupcake. (Hmmm, wonder if it’s rich?) She’s also whipping up all sorts of addictive Thanksgiving and holiday flavors like peppermint, eggnog, gingerbread and pumpkin spice. And don’t forget about the Cupcake Happy Hour starting at 4 p.m. at both shops, featuring tea and slushy drinks.

It’s more fun to eat small. Now, if only you could shrink that calorie intake.
